Day 1: The solutions exhibition
Participants discover a range of social enterprises that are successfully operating in diverse fields (environment, poverty, health, education, diversity, etc.).
These solutions have solved issues similar to the ones participants are facing locally. It’s a powerful way to get inspiration and avoid reinventing the wheel!
Day 2: Market study & replication assessment
Participants go into the field to assess whether the existing social enterprise could be replicated in their city.
From interviewing potential users to mapping the local ecosystem to understanding the root causes, a lot is done in a short period of time with the mentors’ support!
Day 3: Teams, collective workshops & support
From ice breakers to bingo games to collective introspection exercises and deeper discussions, we make it easy and safe for participants to create their teams.
Several training workshops are also held for them to develop critical entrepreneurial & communication skills!

Official awards ceremony
The award ceremony for the best teams will be held on October 17, 2023 in Sofia, at the French Institute at a gala event with official guests and business representatives.

TRAINERS
Snowball effect
Yoon-Joo JEE-DUCHATELET
Yoon-Joo is the co-founder of Snowball Effect, public speaker and awarded social entrepreneur. She is a Fellow of Yunus & Youth and the Aspen Leadership Institute, was elected TOP100 Women in Social Enterprise and is the Winner of competitions with the EU Commission and Google.org.
She is an expert in social innovation and entrepreneurship, who first worked as the expansion manager of an impact startup, then as an innovation facilitator and scaling consultant supporting social enterprises to be replicated across borders. She supported over +100 impact entrepreneurs and social businesses in over 15 countries and 3 continents to be launched, grow and scale.
Yoon-Joo holds a Master in Business Management from EDHEC Business School, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management and a diploma of dance and choreography teaching.
She is passionate about using facilitation and interdisciplinary tools to unleash the creativity and potential of changemakers.
Greta ROSSI
Greta is the co-founder of Recipes for Wellbeing and ChangemakerXchange and the lead facilitator for the WISE Emerging Leaders Program.
She has hosted workshops, events, and summits in over 20 countries collaborating with organizations such as Ashoka, Climate-KIC, and Google. Greta also enjoys sharing her ideas with the wider public and has written several blog posts as well as delivered talks at stages like TEDxBologna2016, TEDxPwCMilan2017, The Women Power Summit 2018, the Social Innovation Summit 2019, and the European Social Economy Summit 2020.
Greta is a qualified coach, facilitator, and fellow of the British Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA). She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in International Relations from Hult International Business School in London. What makes her heart truly sing is working with young people to guide them through a process of self-transformation to become effective changemakers.

The participants will benefit from a 3-day stay and meals in Yustina Villa.
The event is organized from the Embassy of France in Bulgaria, Startup Factory and Snowball effect under a project of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Accommodation in single or double rooms will be provided depending on availability.
Transportation costs are at the expense of the participant.
Who is it for?
If you want to have a positive impact on society and the environment, have an entrepreneurial spirit, but still can’t find the best idea to make it happen, then the Replication Challenge training is for you.
This program is only for people between 18 and 35 years old.
The 3-day challenge is for you if:
you want to make a positive change in your hometown because you feel it is your duty;
you are looking for like-minded people, partners and mentors to help you make the change;
at the same time as your current occupation, you can devote time to your own project, which will take you to a new stage;
you are currently studying, but entrepreneurship is unknown to you, and you are sure that you will need it to develop your potential;
you want to gain know-how from entrepreneurs who have already developed successful projects with a positive impact at the local level.

ORGANIZERS
The French Institute in Bulgaria works for the development of creative and intellectual exchange, for the promotion of cultural and social innovations and for the promotion of the French language. It is part of a network of 98 French institutes worldwide. Founded in 1991, the French Institute in Bulgaria welcomes you to its historic building in the heart of Sofia, on Slaveykov Square, built in 1924 to house the first Alliance Française in Bulgaria, opened in 1904.
Startup Factory is a non-profit organization that has been working since 2015 to develop the digital and entrepreneurial skills of young people and adults from Ruse and to improve the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bulgaria. In 2022, the organization created an online platform with video trainings, webinar recordings and many free resources to help anyone who wants to improve his/her digital and entrepreneurial skills wherever and whenever he/she wants.
Snowball Effect ‘s mission is to spread the most impactful initiatives across the world, to tackle society’s challenges at scale. Let’s stop reinventing the wheel: impactful solutions already exist, it’s high time to replicate them!
